Greek Chicken Lemon Herb Gyros (Print-Friendly Format)

Grilled Greek-style chicken, zesty lemon-herb marinade, creamy tzatziki, fresh veggies, wrapped in warm pita.

# Required Ingredients:

→ Chicken and Marinade

01 - 450 g chicken breast
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
06 - 1 teaspoon salt
07 - 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper

→ Gyro Assembly

08 - 4 gluten-free pita breads
09 - 240 ml tzatziki sauce
10 - 60 g lettuce, chopped
11 - 85 g tomatoes, diced
12 - 30 g red onion, thinly sliced

# How to Make It:

01 - In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to form a marinade.
02 - Slice the chicken breast into strips and coat thoroughly in the marinade. Refrigerate and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
03 - Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken strips for 5–7 minutes per side until fully cooked and lightly charred.
04 - Place pita breads on the grill or skillet and heat for 1 minute until warm and pliable.
05 - Arrange grilled chicken, tzatziki sauce, chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sliced red onion inside each warmed pita bread.
06 - Serve immediately while warm. Optionally, offer additional tzatziki on the side.

01 - For intensified flavour, marinate the chicken overnight in the refrigerator.
02 - Additional toppings such as feta cheese or Kalamata olives can be included to enhance taste and authenticity.
