Strawberry Peach Crisp Dish (Print-Friendly Format)

01 - 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
02 - 1/2 cup brown sugar
03 - 2/3 cup flour
04 - 1/3 cup salted butter, melted

06 - 2 1/2 cups peaches, peeled and sliced (about 3 peaches)
07 - 1 cup sliced strawberries

→ Syrup

08 - 1/4 cup brown sugar
09 - 3 teaspoons cornstarch
10 - 1/3 cup water
11 - 1/8 teaspoon salt
12 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

# How to Make It:

01 - Mix the oatmeal, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and melted butter just until the mixture is crumbly. Spread half of this mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x9 pan.
02 - Top the crust with the diced peaches and strawberries.
03 - Cook the brown sugar, cornstarch, salt, and water in a small saucepan over medium-high heat just until thickened. Stir constantly and remove from heat once thickened.
04 - Stir vanilla into the syrup and pour it over the fruit in the pan.
05 - Sprinkle the remainder of the topping mixture evenly over the fruit.
06 - Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 35 minutes.
07 - Turn the oven to broil, placing the dish on the top shelf. Broil for 2-3 minutes while keeping a close eye on the crisp to prevent burning.
