Preheat oven to 200°C. Arrange ribs in a shallow baking pan. Season with salt and ground black pepper.

Place ribs in the preheated oven and cook for 15 minutes. Turn ribs over and brown the other side for an additional 15 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Move browned ribs to a slow cooker, arranging them to fit evenly.

In a medium bowl, whisk together ketchup, chili sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, dried oregano, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Pour the sauce evenly over the ribs and turn to coat.

Cover and cook on low heat until the ribs are very tender, approximately 6 to 8 hours.
