# Required Ingredients:

→ Salmon

01 - 4 salmon fillets (approximately 170 g each, skin on or off)
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 0.5 teaspoon salt
04 - 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
05 - 0.5 teaspoon paprika

→ Honey Pineapple Glaze

06 - 80 ml honey
07 - 60 ml low sodium soy sauce
08 - 120 ml fresh pineapple juice (or canned, unsweetened)
09 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
10 - 1 tablespoon lime juice
11 - 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger (optional)
12 - 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

→ Pineapple Salsa (Optional, for topping)

13 - 150 g fresh pineapple, diced
14 - 40 g red bell pepper, finely chopped
15 - 40 g red onion, finely chopped
16 - 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
17 - 1 tablespoon lime juice
18 - 0.5 teaspoon honey
19 - pinch of salt

# How to Make It:

01 - Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides evenly with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
02 - Arrange salmon fillets skin-side down if using skin-on. Sear for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown. Flip fillets and cook an additional 2 to 3 minutes until nearly cooked through. Transfer salmon to a plate and set aside.
03 - Reduce skillet heat to medium. Add honey, soy sauce, pineapple juice, minced garlic, lime juice, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Stir continuously and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes, until the glaze thickens slightly.
04 - Return salmon to the skillet and spoon the glaze generously over each fillet. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, basting with the sauce, until the salmon is cooked through and beautifully glazed.
05 - In a bowl, combine diced pineapple, red bell pepper, red onion, chopped cilantro, lime juice, honey, and a pinch of salt. Mix well and allow to rest for 5 minutes for the flavours to meld.
06 - Serve the glazed salmon over your preferred base such as rice or quinoa. Drizzle with extra glaze and top with pineapple salsa if desired. Enjoy immediately.

# Additional Information:

01 - For best results, use fresh pineapple juice and fillets of uniform thickness to promote even cooking.
