01 -
Preheat oven to 175°C. Lightly grease a 23x33 cm baking dish to ensure easy release.
02 -
Evenly distribute the crushed strawberries along the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the strawberry-flavoured gelatin powder uniformly over the strawberries. Scatter the miniature marshmallows on top, covering the surface completely.
03 -
In a large mixing bowl, combine yellow cake mix, water, eggs, and vegetable oil. Blend with an electric mixer on low speed until moistened, then increase to medium speed and mix for 2 additional minutes until batter is smooth.
04 -
Pour the prepared batter evenly over the marshmallow layer. Transfer the baking dish to the preheated oven and bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre of the cake emerges clean.
05 -
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes. Carefully run a knife around the edges to loosen, then invert onto a serving platter so the strawberry layer is on top. Serve once completely cooled. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
