easy homemade brownies (Print-Friendly Format)

Fudgy, rich brownies with butter, cocoa, and dark chocolate chips.

# Required Ingredients:

01 - ½ cup melted and cooled butter
02 - 1 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
04 - 2 large eggs
05 - ¼ teaspoon baking soda
06 - ¼ teaspoon salt
07 - ½ cup all-purpose flour
08 - ½ cup cocoa powder
09 - 1 ½ cup chocolate chips

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9”x9” square metal baking pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Melt butter and set aside to cool.
02 - Whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Add eggs and whisk until fully incorporated.
03 - Add baking soda, salt, flour, and cocoa powder to the wet mixture. Stir until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips. The batter will be thick.
04 - Spread batter into the prepared pan. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes. Allow brownies to cool in the pan for 30 minutes before cutting.

# Additional Information:

01 - A metal baking pan is recommended for best results. For glass or ceramic pans, reduce heat to 325°F and increase cooking time by 2-3 minutes. A double batch in a 9x13 glass pan takes approximately 45 minutes.
02 - Hershey's Dark Chocolate Chips are recommended, but semi-sweet chocolate chips will also work. Ensure the choice of chips is still slightly sweet.
