Roll out the sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth and even thickness.

In a small bowl, stir together granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.

Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the rolled-out pastry. Brush entire surface with melted butter.

Roll the pastry up tightly from one edge to form a log. Cut the pastry log into 12 equal portions.

Lightly grease a standard muffin tin. Place each pastry segment, cut side up, into an individual muffin cup.

Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and well puffed.

Let cruffins cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar. Drizzle with vanilla extract if desired. Serve warm.
