                Let bread cubes sit out to become slightly stale.

                In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Add bread cubes and stir to coat.

                Place the bread mixture in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

                Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

                Pour the soaked bread mixture and any remaining milk into the prepared baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.                 In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Stir constantly until the sugar is completely dissolved.
